Pools of Fun Brings Home GOLD

Pools of Fun Captures Award in Regional Swimming Pool Design Competition

Plainfield, IN – In a competition that invited entries from pool builders in 10 states, Pools of Fun, received a Gold Award in the Residential Fiberglass or Metal category and won another Gold Award in the Retail Store Design category in the 2006 Annual Awards of Excellence swimming pool design competition conducted by the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals, Region 5.

The design awards competition is open to members of the Association in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. Entries are solicited in October and November each year, and the winners were recognized during a recent ceremony at the Mid-America Pool & Spa Show in St. Charles, Illinois.

Pools of Fun, Indiana’s largest in-ground pool builder, started as the entrepreneurial venture of a Plainfield home builder in 1981, Pools of Fun now ranks as the third largest pool builder in the country, outside of the sunshine states of Florida, California and Arizona, according to statistics compiled by BioGuard™, one of the largest pool chemical manufacturers in the United States.

The Association of Pool & Spa Professionals is an industry trade association with over 4,000 members, including swimming pool builders, pool service companies, retailers, distributors and manufacturers. The Association promulgates design and construction standards that are approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). It also offers the industry extensive training programs leading to certification in swimming pool building and service.
