Golf Benefit for Breast Cancer

Pools of Fun 2nd Annual Golf Benefit for Breast Cancer

October 11, 2007 – Pools of Fun is pleased to announce that over $10,000 was raised from the second annual golf benefit with all proceeds going directly to the fight against breast cancer. On Sept. 9th, 2007, Pools of Fun sponsored the golfing event which was hosted by Rita and Larry Baker and the Team of Hope at the beautiful Deer Creek Golf Club in Clayton, Indiana.

Funds raised from this event included entry fees from over 120 golfers along with corporate sponsorships. Local companies participating in this event include: Andy Mohr Ford, Automatic Pool Covers, BioGuard_®, Fiduciary Trust Services, Indy Gas Works, K & K Fence, Midas of Brownsburg, Pace Financial Group, Pool Side Plus, South Central Pools, Superior Pool Products, Beacon Sign Company and Deer Creek Golf Course.

Pools of Fun, Indiana’s largest in-ground pool builder, lost a beloved colleague, friend and family member, Debbie Ogle, to breast cancer in 2001. Since then, Pools of Fun has sponsored the Team of Hope in an effort to raise awareness and find a cure for a disease that affects one of every seven people.

Pools of Fun builds both vinyl and fiberglass pools, offering a variety of accessories and add-ons, including water fountains and mood lighting-everything to create a backyard oasis. The company also operates a comprehensive service center performing everything from pool openings and closings to equipment repair and renovations.
