What is pH?
Answer:  It's a  way to measure the acidity or alkalinity of water. This is the most important part of chemical balance because it protects your equipment and allows your sanitizer to do its best job.

What is total alkalinity (TA)?
Answer: It's a measure of the water's ability to resist changes in pH. pH can be affected  by environmental factors such as acid rain, pollution, run-off from the surrounding land, and fertilizers -just to name a few. Keeping your TA at the proper range (125-150) will help prevent pH from fluctuating and help prevent scale and cloudy water.

How do I vacuum my pool?
Answer: Get out your telepole, vac-hose, skim-vac, and vac-head. Attach them together. Remember the swivel end of hose goes into the vac-head. Fill vac hose with water by using a return fitting or completely submerging the hose in water. Put skim-vac in skimmer and adjust remaining suction lines (turn main drain and second skimmer half-way off) to increase suction in vac line. Pause in-floor cleaning system. Proceed to vacuum slowly until pool bottom is clear of debris.
