Meet Our Manager – Linda Kurbursky
“Every day when we come into work my goal is to have some fun…so we will want to come back in again tomorrow.” That sums up the focus of Noblesville Customer Care Manager Linda Kurbursky. If longevity is an indicator of success, this approach is a philosophy that works for her and her team. Linda has been with Pools of Fun since 1994 – and, in her present position since 2004.
Naturally, she claims both her customers and her coworkers are great people to be around. “Our customers have known us forever…the original Carmel store opened in 1989″, she added – and, she is excited to be all moved into the new Noblesville location at 146th and Hazel Dell.
Spending the off-season “reading-up on all the new robotic cleaners” she is fully prepared for the season. Through the years, she has grown to be quite an expert in Biogard Chemicals and takes satisfaction in helping customers get their pool water problems solved.
She thinks many of her customers would enjoy their pools more if they could just slow down a little and not keep their families on such an active schedule. “They need to take a little time…go sit by the pool and relax,” she adds. As a result, she feels they would “enjoy more family time…together.”
Linda takes pride in participating in community activities like Carmel’s annual Octoberfest. Plus, she is a volunteer for the Komen Race for the Cure participating in the Pools of Fun “Team of Hope” in this annual fundraiser. A health and physical education teacher in her previous profession, one of her goals for the year is to remain active in Carmel Chamber of Commerce activities and to expand her professional qualifications via the APSP – the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals.
