Everything You Need To Know About Bioguard’s ALEX Water Tests Utilized at Pools of Fun
Consistently testing the water in your pool is vital to keeping it well balanced so that you, your family, and your friends can enjoy the water all season. When the chemicals in the pool water are unbalanced, the water can become unsafe for swimming. Although there are many at-home kits that can help you monitor the basics of your pool water, performing a Bioguard ALEX water test regularly at your local Pools of Fun Customer Care Location can provide accurate, safe, and balanced pool water.
Why Is Bioguard’s ALEX Testing Better Than Test Strips?
Utilizing state-of-the-art technology, the ALEX system (short for expert analysis) will provide you with complete results for your pool water. Because the testing is done by Pools of Fun associates, we’re able to take into account the environmental factors in our area that may play a role in the quality of your pool water including contaminants that are specific to Indiana.
These results provide far more in-depth information than the results from at-home testing strips and other water testing kits. When using the ALEX system, you will also receive recommendations based on results that are far beyond and superior to normal water testing strips. Working with Pools of Fun associates to understand your unique results will increase your knowledge of how different elements in your water work with each other to provide the best treatment, which will reduce the need for trial and error. This saves time and money that you can reinvest into the fun with friends and family you’ll have in your pool.
Pools of Fun associates are trained using Bioguard’s H2Know education system, which provides ongoing education to ensure certified experts are up-to-date on technical expertise and problem-solving in order to provide the best service to customers.
How Do I Use Bioguard’s ALEX Water Testing?
Bioguard’s ALEX testing can be done in any of our Pools of Fun stores. By providing us with a water sample from your pool, we can test the water in the store, and you will receive results within minutes. Especially, this time of year, we highly recommend bringing in a water sample to test if you are continuing to use your pool for the next couple of months or even preparing to close your pool for the season. It’s vital to your pool to have the water balanced before closing so you can be ready to go once spring comes around.
To accurately collect a sample, allow the pump to work for at least one hour after adding chemicals or after use to be sure the water has fully circulated. Insert the testing bottle about 12-18” beneath the surface of the water and fill the bottle. For best results, it is important to use water that has been circulating and is not stagnant, so find an area of the pool where water appears to circulate the most.
Once you receive the results, Pools of Fun can help you look at the recommendations and walk you through the right products that will help bring balance back to your pool. Because the testing provides customized recommendations, you can save money on chemical products by taking the guesswork out of what and how much of each you may need. This can maximize the chemicals’ effectiveness.
Balance Your Pool Water
Too much of one chemical or the wrong mix can ruin any pool party! Not only could it prevent your water from staying clean, but it could be dangerous for anyone using the pool. Using at-home tests is important to help monitor your levels but trusting Bioguard’s ALEX process as a regular part of your pool maintenance means your pool’s water stays balanced and safe.
Let the experts at Pools of Fun help keep you swimming all season long. Along with the many pool services we provide, our expert ALEX water testing at all 5 of our Customer Care Locations can help bring you peace of mind every time you go for a swim.
