How Do I Plan For My Pool?
Installing a new inground pool in your backyard isn’t a decision to take lightly. It involves detailed planning, precise budgeting, expert design, and much (much) more. Needless to say, a pool installation isn’t just digging a hole in the ground and adding water.
Pools of Fun is gearing up for our big installation season for the spring of 2016, and we know that building a pool starts in the wintertime with drawing up blueprints. We’re Indianapolis’s largest inground pool builder, serving the circle city and the surrounding counties for 35 years.
Here are some things to consider when planning your pool:
Get What You Want — Installing a pool to your liking needs to take place early, as fixing your wish list is difficult (and expensive) once the process has started. Building on a budget is one thing, but creating a modern, luxurious pool should supersede cost to some extent. We have experts to guide you on upscale designs and the up-to-date technologies. Don’t be frugal when it comes to certain features, such as a waterfall, fountains, or other physical alterations out of the norm. Remember, this is YOUR pool. So make it your own.
Design and Shape — Cultivating a certain look should be at the top of your list. Each backyard is different, so keep that in mind in our designs. To help convey your wishes, gather images and write down ideas for how you want your pool to appear. Many times, the best description you can give us is a visual. We’ve completed countless luxury pools in the area and likely can match exactly what you are looking for to a past project. (We’re able to conceptualize ideas from scratch, too).
Consider the shape of your pool, too. A free-form swimming pool lends a more natural look, where as a rectangle has a traditional feel. Blend in the shape of your pool with your outdoor design concept to create a beautiful backyard oasis.
Determine the Costs — An informed researcher knows what it costs to build a pool. But remember, each project is different. We want to work hand-in-hand with you to dictate your budget, as we’ll open your eyes to some aspects of install costs that the Internet won’t tell you. Consider monthly utilities and natural wear-and-tear that goes in conjunction with owning a pool. Knowledge is power in planning, as expensive surprises are no fun. Cover your bases by researching your building codes and costs of insurance, too.
We make it easy for you to finance a pool with us by giving you in-home estimates and make initial contact with an institution on behalf of our customers, so don’t be a stranger when you begin planning!
