Is it Time for a New Pool Heater?
There is nothing better than taking a dip in a pool after a long day. In fact, it’s pretty much the sole reason you decided to install one in your backyard in the first place! That feeling of dipping your toes in the water is even more satisfying when it’s still a bit chilly, and your pool water is nice and toasty.
This mild winter has us here at Pools of Fun scheduling our technicians for pool opens earlier than expected, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Getting swimming season started early means more fun for the whole family. But taking advantage of the disposable pool days is no fun if you can’t get your water to an appropriate level.
In that case, it’s time to start thinking about getting your heater fixed (or tuned up).
Here are a few signs that you should call us today:
The Water is Cold
DUH! When it’s 50 degrees outside, don’t expect your water to magically be 85. If you’ve set your heater to a temperature and it is freezing cold, that means your heater needs repair. Let’s just hope you dipped your toes in before cannonballing! You’ve probably got bigger problems than a heater at that point.
But in all seriousness, when your heater breaks down it could be a number of issues. The problem may be small or could cost a fortune. It might be as simple as your filter is dirty and restricting water flow. It could be your thermostat or a pilot light.
The key is to call a professional when something isn’t working. If everything appears to be firing on all cylinders but suddenly turns off in the middle of a heat cycle, then you’ve got a problem. The same goes if your heater is making loud sounds or providing low flow and inadequate heat.
Our expert technicians are able to make house calls when issues arise, so don’t be bashful and not reach out. Usually, heaters are relatively quick fixes. We look forward to hearing from you soon at Pools of Fun!
