Understanding VGB Safety Act
The Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act is a statute signed into law by President George W. Bush in Dec. 2007 recognizing Virginia Graeme Baker, a 7-year-old girl who drowned after being trapped under water by the powerful suction of a hot tub drain. The Act was instituted to improve safety at pools and spas throughout the United States.
